The LU25 state-of-the-art training center offers 46,000 square feet of the most advanced training equipment and best instructors in the Quad Cities. Learn technology, fabrication, welding and drafting in the classroom, then go to work with one of LU25’s highly regarded signatory contractors.

Get paid while you learn

Starting pay is an annual salary of $31,000.

You will receive wage increases on a yearly basis until you reach Building Trades Journeyman status.

Plus get major medical, dental, vision, two pension plans and a 401(k).

what you need

An aptitude for math

Good English oral and written communication skills

Ability to work in high places

Ability to work in confined places

A strong work ethic  

Ability to maintain good grades and attendance

Ability to perform the physical requirements of the trade

Reliable transportation

Previous experience in construction is helpful, but not necessary

Application Requirements

Applicants must be 17 years of age or older, apprentices must be at least 18 years old

Present a driver’s license or photo ID

Provide a copy of your birth certificate

High school diploma and transcripts are required or an approved high school equivalency GED certificate or scores

Military transfer or discharge forms DD-214 or equivalent (if applicable)

Availability for entrance orientation/testing and interview

Note: All finalists will be drug-screened and background checked prior to employment. The recruitment, selection, employment, and training shall be without discrimination because of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age - except that the applicant must be at least 17 years of age.
