Training Center

The state of the art training facility of Local 25 makes it possible for each plumber and pipefitter to receive the best classroom and hands on training to meet the ever changing needs of the plumbing and pipefitting industries.

The Local 25 Training Center offers apprentices over 35,000 square feet of training room. With over 10 classrooms, a computer lab and 4 hands on areas for each of the trades, apprentices receive the necessary tools for a successful career.

Apprentices go through 5 years of hands on training both on the job and at the LU25 Training Center. Apprentices will learn at the training center 6 weeks out of the year for a total of 250 hours a year.

An aptitude for math

Good English oral and written communication skills

Ability to work in high places

Ability to work in confined places

A strong work ethic  

Ability to maintain good grades and attendance

Ability to perform the physical requirements of the trade

Reliable transportation

Previous experience in construction is helpful, but not necessary

Application Requirements

Applicants must be 17 years of age or older, apprentices must be at least 18 years old

Present a driver’s license or photo ID

Provide a copy of your birth certificate

High school diploma and transcripts are required or an approved high school equivalency GED certificate or scores

Military transfer or discharge forms DD-214 or equivalent (if applicable)

Availability for entrance orientation/testing and interview

Note: All finalists will be drug-screened and background checked prior to employment. The recruitment, selection, employment, and training shall be without discrimination because of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age - except that the applicant must be at least 17 years of age.
